What Is Kybella?
Kybella is a first-of-its-kind, FDA-approved, non-surgical fat reduction alternative to liposuction. Kybella uses deoxycholic acid naturally produced by your body to absorb fat. Once injected, Kybella removes stubborn fat.
Kybella is a minimally invasive treatment primarily used to reduce submental fullness (commonly known as a double chin) without surgery or anesthesia, and with little to no recovery period. If you want to reveal the contour of your neck and get rid of stubborn fat beneath your chin but are not ready for surgical intervention, Kybella can be a notable confidence booster.
What Does Kybella Treat?
Kybella treatment addresses and eliminates the appearance of submental fat, often referred to as the “double chin,” highlighting the contour of your jawline and is tailored to each patient’s cosmetic goal and the amount of submental fat they have.
How Does Kybella Work?
At each treatment, a Kybella-trained specialist on the HerSpace team will administer multiple small injections under your chin, taking about 15 to 20 minutes to perform. The number of injections needed depends on the amount of fat under your chin and your desired result, but it’s usually somewhere between 20-50. Kybella’s active ingredient, deoxycholic acid, is a natural molecule found in the body that helps break down and absorb dietary fat.
How Many Kybella Treatment Sessions Will I Need?
No person’s profile is the same, so the number of Kybella treatments required to achieve your desired outcome varies from patient to patient. Our friendly team will work closely with you to understand your goals and analyze the amount and shape of your submental fat to determine the number of treatment sessions you need.
Am I A Good Candidate For Kybella?
You may be a great candidate for Kybella if you’re unhappy with the appearance of fat under the chin, known as submental fullness. Some patients come to HerSpace looking to reduce the appearance of fat under their chin because they feel that it makes them appear older or heavier than they are.
