Dermal Fillers Treatment Little Silver NJ - HerSpace MedSpa

Dermal Fillers Little Silver, NJ

Dermal fillers, also known as lip injections, lip augmentations, cheek enhancements, etc., help to make the skin voluminous, reducing wrinkles and giving your face a fuller, more youthful appearance. Here at HerSpace MedSpa, we regularly use dermal fillers as a non-surgical way to give your face more structure, volume, and a refreshed appearance.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Fillers which include lip injections are formulated with hyaluronic acid, to simulate the hyaluronic acid that naturally occurs in the body. Hyaluronic acid is a smooth substance found in skin, connective tissues, and eyes. The main function of hyaluronic acid is to retain water and keep tissues lubricated and moist, which is why it is the optimal choice for anti-aging treatments. As the body ages, it loses hyaluronic acid and essential collagen, causing your skin to dry out and lose its shape. This dehydration allows fine lines and wrinkles to form. For example, lip injections are a counteractive treatment to help resolve these unwanted wrinkles and lines around the mouth while also enhancing the volume of the lip as well.

How Do Dermal Filler Procedures Like Lip Injections Work?

Dermal filler procedures typically take about 30 to 60 minutes per area of treatment when working with our experts. Results are noticeable almost immediately, and you can expect to see full results in about two weeks. Fillers, like lip injections, can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months when properly maintained, following the guidance of our expert providers.
With lip injections, one of the main concepts clients overlook is that the look you want won’t necessarily be achieved overnight. Lip size plays a big role. If your lips are very thin and you desire a nice and full, but natural look, you should expect a few treatments to increase size and maintain the treatments that have previously been performed. Working with our experienced providers at HerSpace MedSpa, you get the opportunity to receive the best, strategized treatments possible. We know the keys to successful lip injections include building in stages.

Do Lip Injections Hurt?

In most cases, lip injections are quick and easy. Some patients may feel minor discomfort or a slight pinch, but the pain is usually brief and manageable. Of course, not everyone’s body is the same so some people may experience more pain than others may. The amount of filler injected by our physicians can also influence the amount of pain you experience. If pain is a concern, numbing agents can be applied to the upper and bottom lip before conducting the procedure.
Our clinicians are careful about how we administer injections and strategically start with smaller amounts to prevent future pain and problems. When you are working with Herspace Medspa staff we administer lip injections with your comfort in mind. Please, never hesitate to discuss your concerns with your provider.
At HerSpace MedSpa, our staff has decade’s worth of experience with cosmetic medicine and aesthetic treatments. We also make sure we treat every patient as an individual and work with them one-on-one to get the results they want. You can read more about our team here.
